Luke's telling of the Jesus story has the most detailed account of the events leading up to and surrounding Jesus' birth. Luke began by telling the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth, and the birth of their pending child, John, soon to be known as John the Baptist. We learn that John the Baptist will be a person who through the power of the Holy Spirit will be able to turn people's hearts to God. As we begin Advent, may we all consider how we might turn hearts to God.
