In Matthew's gospel, Jesus' great sermon is called the Sermon on the Mount. In Luke, a similar collection of material is often called the Sermon on the Plain. After a night of prayer, followed by the selection of the twelve disciples, a crowd gathers around Jesus. During that moment in time we read: "So much energy surging from him." Some of that energy poured into the world through words of truth. When have you been faced with a truth that turned your life around or made you uncomfortable? How has truth worked in your life?
