Welcome to First Presbyterian Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:
Atmosphere
It's important to us that you feel welcome when visiting and we hope our atmosphere will help you feel relaxed and comfortable. We are very much a "come as you are" community - come in jeans or come in a suit - whatever makes you most comfortable. For the time being, masks are not required (though recommended) for vaccinated individuals. If you are unvaccinated we ask that you please wear a mask.
Family Friendly
No matter your family dynamics or configuration, you're welcome at First Presbyterian Church and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. Nursery care is available for infants up through age five at both services. Children's Sunday School is available at the 9AM service for preschoolers through 5th grade. Children stay in worship through the children's message then are excused to meet their teachers for their own special time of learning and fun.
Style of Worship
We have two different services offered each week in two different styles. Our 9AM service includes contemporary music led by our praise band. Our 11AM service is more "traditional" with music and hymns led by our choir and the organ or piano. The same sermon is preached at both services by one of our pastors.
