The Pastor Nominating Committee is pleased to introduce you to the Rev. Thomas Abbott who will be candidating to be our new pastor on Sunday, March 3. We will have one combined worship service that Sunday at 10:00 a.m. where Tom will preach. Following the service will be a congregational meeting to accept Tom as pastor. You can read about Tom HERE. We look forward to welcoming him on March 3!
Join us for our church's annual meeting on Sunday, January 27. We'll enjoy one combined worship service at 10:00 a.m. that morning followed by a potluck meal and a time to go through our annual report where we'll celebrate where we've been and look forward to the future.
Please bring a main dish, side or salad, or a dessert to share.
Join us this September as we read a book that is good for the soul. We'll be tackling The Good and Beautiful God by James Bryan Smith.
Smith invites us to see and know God as Jesus did--as good and beautiful. To help us along our way, Smith provides questions for reflection in each chapter so it's best read with a journal at your side to jot down your thoughts.
Because of this, we'll meet three times in September and once in October to discuss what we've read.
Thursday, September 13 we'll discuss chapters 1-2 (6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall).
Thursday, September 20…
Come one, come all for 24 hours of fun and service with your church family!
Friday, August 31st we'll head to Hooper Pool to camp, swim, and enjoy each other's company.
Saturday, September 1st we'll spend the morning gleaning the fields of the San Luis Valley to benefit the food bank in Alamosa that is connected with La Puente Home.
Who can come? Everyone is invited! Young, old, or somewhere in the middle--this is for you. Parents--bring your kids of all ages. We'll be pulling carrots or digging potatoes--we don't know yet. As long as your little ones (or bigger ones) don't mind…
