At First Presbyterian there are lots of opportunities for adults to connect and to go deeper in their relationship with God. Here are some of the ways we gather:
Women of all ages from the church gather regularly, both in large and small groups for study and friendship. Each fall the group hosts an annual Women's Retreat (in 2018 at Hermit Basin in Westcliffe, CO) to have time away from the busy-ness of every day life, space to focus and grow in our relationship with God, and time to simply relax and have fun with friends. Contact Kathy Moore for information.
Each Tuesday and Wednesday morning men from the church gather at a local restaurant for breakfast, conversation, and a short devotion. It's a great way to connect and start the day.
Once a month adults in their 20s, 30s, and even 40s gather at someone's home for a meal and to build friendships with one another. For those who have kids, childcare is provided at the church for children age one and up. New people are always welcome. First Thursdays of each month, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Contact Pastor Hilary Downs for information.
Adults gather for Sunday School each week in the Sunroom at 9:30 a.m., September through May. They use "The Wired Word", a curriculum that takes stories right out of the news headlines and relates them to scripture and our lives.
During Advent and Lent, Pastor Charley will lead a multi-week study on Wednesdays of that season that begins with a tasty lunch and time of fellowship, followed by Bible study and lively discussion.
